Children's Bay Cay also offers ample caretaker's quarters on the island, including a two-bedroom, two-bath pilot and security unit.

The island is serviced by a concrete and wood deepwater boat dock on the western, sheltered side of the island with another dock next to the cottage on the point. A large seaplane/helipad ramp is capable of handling the 1943 Grumman Goose or helicopter. Amenities also include three boats: a 24-foot Boston Whaler, a 21-foot Trophy, and a 24-foot Carolina Skiff. The island has a complete physical plant that powers all of the buildings and the marina housing three generators (580 kw, combined).
