North of Auckland

The area north of Auckland, New Zealand, offers one of the most fulfilling and sought-after lifestyles available in our unique country. So close to the country’s major city, Auckland, yet out of the bustle, the northern areas boast stunning beaches, a pristine countryside, marine reserves, golf courses, famed wineries, international marinas, unspoiled native forests, and much more.

Orewa - The town of Orewa Beach spreads inland from the edge of a magnificent three-kilometer beach. Orewa Beach is the commercial heart of the Hibiscus Coast and Rodney district. Residents may comfortably commute to Auckland city yet choose to live in this relaxed coastal town. The beach extends along the length of the town, providing a broad sandy promenade at low tide. Extensive grassy reserves border the beach. The town center itself has a great variety of shops and services, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, dairies, and accommodations. This community is a mere 25 minutes north of Auckland City.

Whangaparaoa – Pods of orcas and dolphins are regularly spotted in the waters off the Whangaparaoa peninsula. The peninsula stretches east for 11 kilometers into the waters of the Hauraki Gulf. The thriving township of Whangaparaoa is regarded as the start of a section of coastline known as the Hibiscus Coast, with 10 beaches and bays and fantastic national parks all within a close drive. The peninsula is an easy 35 minutes from Auckland City.

Warkworth and Omaha - The main township in the north Rodney district, Warkworth is the hub for a wide residential, rural, and coastal region, and is one of the fastest-growing areas in New Zealand. Omaha boasts a stunning four-kilometer stretch of white sandy beach, a challenging links-style golf course, fishing, boating, surfing, and diving attractions. Both Warkworth and Omaha are only minutes from the attractions of the Matakana region, which plays host to award-winning wineries, restaurants, movies, boutique shops, and farmer's markets. Warkworth and Omaha are fantastic places to invest in real estate for a holiday, permanent living, or a rental investment, all less than an hour from Auckland City.

Mangawhai - Straddling three districts—Rodney, Kaipara and Whangarei—this beautiful area offers a wide variety of activities on the land and water. Mangawhai, Langs, Waipu Cove, and the greater Kaipara provide recreational enjoyment for all ages including world-class golf courses, tennis courts, good schooling, specialty shops, boutique wineries, and cafés, along with golden sandy beaches, freshwater lakes, farms, and lifestyle blocks.
