High Pond Farm is a private 386-acre retreat in a secluded mountain valley surrounded by thousands of acres of protected land located between the Green Mountains and Adirondacks in central Vermont. The impressive 11-acre Walker pond, used for fishing and swimming, has a wooded backdrop at the edge of a large meadow leading to the hilltop residence. A long driveway winds up the hill to the prominent residence, an 1850 Greek Revival style with the softer edge of a European influence. The spacious 5,000 s.f., 6-bedroom residence has an open floor plan and large patio overlooking Walker Pond. High Pond Farm is completely surrounded by the Nature Conservancy as a result of the area's unique natural features. The property was once the private "High Pond Mountain" ski area beginning in 1940's and though much as changed, there is still a working T bar lift and the old slopes are identifiable on local maps.
