The Friary is a fine Grade II listed family house,
probably dating from the 16th century with some
exceptional period features including casement
windows with applied Victorian cusped heads,
which provide very light accommodation over three storeys. At the centre of the house is a
charming kitchen/breakfast/family room which has
exposed beams and timber framework, along with
mullion windows. There is an oil fired Aga, and a
view over the driveway. From this central kitchen,
there is a fine dining room with an inglenook
fireplace and a superb sitting room with a large
inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove.
There are delightful views over the garden from a
number of the rooms, and access from various parts of the house. The Friary has excellent service
