Mother Nature´s tropical best is artfully blended with stylish elements to welcome guests to the illustrious Casa de Campo on the Dominican Republic´s southeast coast. Golf
Considered by many to be the world´s most renowned golf course architect, Pete Dye, hand-in-hand with wife and LPGA Hall of Famer Alice Dye, created three of the most challenging courses in the game for Casa de Campo: Teeth of the Dog, The Links, and The Dye Fore.

  • Teeth Of The Dog: Ranked as the number-one course in the Caribbean and 43rd in the top 100 courses worldwide by Golf Magazine, Pete Dye´s classic Teeth of the Dog attracts the best professional and amateur golfers in the world. Tricky shots such as a devilish dogleg and signature Dye obstacles captivate the skilled golfer. Tradewinds and natural holes create additional challenges.
  • The Dye Fore: This is the latest gem created by Pete Dye. The numbers are staggering with 7,740 yards in length, seven cliffside holes dropping 300 feet to the Chavon River below, 40-mile-per-hour gusting winds, and breathtaking 360-degree views.
  • The Links: The Links is interior on the property with spectacular views of the Caribbean and the resort. Its moderately hilly track, with tall bahia and guinea grass roughs plus multiple sand traps, will satisfy the avid golfer. Thought by some to be reminiscent of traditional British and Scottish courses, this course features several lagoons and even lakes with wading birds. There are five holes where water comes into play on this course, making it a challenge unto itself.

Marina & Yacht Club
Where the Chavon River meets the Caribbean Sea, at the water´s edge of a 7,000-acre resort, is a chic new community and paradise found for sailors and speedboat enthusiasts.

Inspired by the old seaside villages of the Mediterranean, but equipped with all the most modern services to guarantee a comfortable, relaxing stay, Casa de Campo Marina extends over more than 90,000 square meters. Its colorful residential architecture includes 105 units comprising villas and townhouse-type apartments, many with a private pier. In the Calle Barlovento, besides the residential apartments, there are numerous shops to satisfy any need, while the Piazza Portofino, with its beautiful restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream shops, and cafés, is the center of the nightlife and the natural backdrop for shows, sports, and cultural events.

The Casa de Campo Marina is where resort guests shop, dine, and gaze at some of the finest vessels cruising the high seas; lovers of the sea reside; and cruising yachtsmen moor for maintenance. At the center of the Marina is The Yacht Club, a beautiful, stately facility that beckons yachtsmen off the seas. This private club is an architectural gem with striking lounges and a stunning bar.

The Marina also has its own mall: Coconut Mall, site of an international bank, a gourmet deli, rental cars, a furniture store, and The Caribbean Cinemas. For a change of pace, guests can catch first-run movies. And for groups meeting on site, the theaters with their wonderful high-back chairs are available for meetings during the day.

Altos de Chavon
Altos de Chavon is an architectural wonder, a replica of a 16th-Century Mediterranean village perched high above the Chavón River.

Dominican artisans handcrafted the stone pathways, decorative ironwork, furnishings, and enchanting buildings, reviving almost-forgotten crafts of metal work and stone carving. Each stone was hand-cut, each wooden door frame was handcrafted, and each wrought-iron detail hand-forged. Construction of the village began in 1976 and the village was inaugurated in 1982 with a concert by Frank Sinatra at the amphitheater.

Altos de Chavon was built as a center of culture for the Dominican people. Dominican residents, tourists and working artists, flock to this magically inspirational locale.

Stroll along cobblestone streets and enjoy the architectural grandeur of days gone by as you take in the detailed, amazing quality craftsmanship of yesteryear. Quaint shops, boutiques, art galleries, fine restaurants, and an archeological museum are just a sampling of sites to see in La Romana's biggest attraction.
