MIAMI (June 12, 2023) – Top luxury real estate agents from around the world gathered in Miami last week for Christie’s International Real Estate’s annual Agents Conference. The two-day event, held at the 1 Hotel South Beach, included panel discussions and presentations featuring some of the global luxury network’s most successful and influential agents, as well as leading experts in the fields of social media, Web3, organizational growth, and fine art and luxury auctions.

Christie’s International Real Estate co-CEO, Thad Wong, and president, Chris Lim, al so gave presentations at the conference, as will Edgardo Defortuna, president and CEO of the host affiliate, Miami-based brokerage firm Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate, which joined the network last October.

Day one of the conference was devoted to programming for Christie’s International Real Estate’s elite Masters Circle, a group of agents chosen from the top 5% of producers within the network based on annual sales volume, with additional qualifying parameters for average transaction price. Sessions focused on successful strategies for working through one of the most challenging market environments of the past decade; personal brand building; the power of authenticity; and strategies for winning and marketing trophy listings.

“It’s a very collaborative day with the most important interactions occurring between the Masters Circle agents themselves. At this level of the profession, the opportunities that arise from networking and the free flow of ideas and best practices are very meaningful,” said Lim.

Day two was open to all Christie’s International Real Estate agents and included presentations from executive vice president of culture and agent development, Amy Corr; chief marketing officer, Natasha Patla; internationally acclaimed economist, Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D.; organizational growth expert, Steve McKee; senior vice president at Christie’s auction house, Jessica Katz; leading performance coach, Giselle Ugarte; and others.

The day also featured a conversation between Thad Wong and superstar broker Aaron Kirman of AKG Christie’s International Real Estate in Los Angeles. The two discussed pushing through performance plateaus and servicing ultra-high-net worth clients.

This is the second annual Agents Conference to be held under Christie’s International Real Estate’s new ownership, led by co-CEOs Thad Wong and Mike Golden, founders of Chicago-based @properties, one of the top 10 brokerage firms in the U.S. by sales volume.

In the 18 months since the acquisition, Christie’s International Real Estate has added more than two-dozen new affiliate brokerages, including market-leading firms in London, L.A., Munich, the San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta, Chicago, Naples, Fla., and the host city of Miami. Together, these companies and their agents represent more than $35 billion in annual sales volume.

Several Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates have also started using pl@tform™, an integrated suite of proprietary brokerage-technology tools, developed by @properties, that allow agents to digitally manage all aspects of the client relationship and real estate transaction.

Christie’s International Real Estate has also expanded its relationship with the separately owned but closely aligned Christie’s auction house, and introduced a host of new marketing, coaching and training programs.
