Price reduction to US$39,000,000 from US$50,000,000 announced for two ranches offered by single owner

Together the two ranches capture “The Mystique of the West,” and may now also be purchased separately, one in Arizona and the other in Montana, each for US$19,500,000. The Arizona ranch comes with a dedicated “Art Museum” where the owners displayed their

New York, New York (August 13, 2020) — The Arizona ranch, named MorDo, is on the edge of Scottsdale, with the Southwest’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment districts, not to mention world-class health care. The ranch comprises over 100 acres with a grand four-bedroom, six-bath Estancia styled in the Argentinian tradition with an open floor plan and outdoor courtyards, perfect for entertaining. The equestrian facilities are world-class with an abundance of trail riding in nearby national forests. The Art Museum also served as the owner’s office so he could enjoy his collection day-to-day.

Horsethief Basin, outside the quaint western town of Lewistown, Montana, is a sprawling 7,000-acre ranch with a majestic 8,000-square-foot log home with three bedrooms, three full baths and two half-baths, plus a steam room and sauna. There are also two 1,500 square-foot guesthouses, each with two bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen and large living room. The privacy for owners and guests is unparalleled and the mountain vistas are breathtaking. This ranch also includes a blue-ribbon fly-fishing river nearby and trophy game hunting.

The two ranches were curated by Morton and Donna Fleischer, the merging of first their names resulting in MorDo, for the Arizona ranch. Mr. Fleischer is renowned in financial circles for conceiving and selling more than 20 real estate companies and was one of the first to use real estate investment trusts (REITs) to finance single-tenant real estate. Both ranches, a 90-minute ride by private plane, come fully equipped and staffed, and also include unique gallery spaces for the display of art and collectibles.

Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network - with its exclusive Affiliates Walt Danley Realty in Scottsdale, Arizona, and PureWest Real Estate in Bozeman, Montana – together announce the opportunity to purchase both ranches for US$39,000,000 or each individually for US$19,500,000.

Said Mr. Fleischer: “Now, more than ever, people are looking for a sanctuary for themselves and their family.  MorDo and Horsethief Basin fulfill the desire to have a safe haven surrounded by nature's astounding beauty. We are offering the ranches separately or still in tandem. My wife and I have a strong desire to find caring people to take stewardship of these amazing properties. Our hope is that the ranches provide the same enrichment to the lives of the next owners as they have to us.”

Rick Moeser, executive director of Christie’s International Real Estate, added: “The ability to acquire these two Western Legacy properties at this new pricing is a rarity. Both offer privacy, abundant space and sustainability, as well as architectural excellence and natural beauty. Whether purchased together or separately, these two ranches offer a turnkey opportunity to own a piece of the American West and its storied lifestyle.”

The Arizona estate has easily hosted at one time some 300 guests – from cowboys to Congressmen - and is further appointed by these amenities:

The Montana ranch was carefully assembled by the Fleisher’s, acquiring prime neighboring land to complete the 7,000-acre offering. The ranch estate includes:

  • Trophy game hunting on-property due to diligent wildlife management
  • Abundant room to re-imagine additional recreational activities or self-sustaining green houses for farm-to-table gardening
  • Water and mineral rights (evidence of oil have been indicated on the southern part of the ranch)
  • Artesian springs and ample water

  • Blue-ribbon trout fishing just minutes away

“Purchased together, this is a four-season opportunity to enjoy the Western lifestyle,” said Walt Danley, president of Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate, who is representing the Arizona property. “Both ranches, acquired either together or separately, took years to assemble, have top-flight management and equipment in place, and unparalleled living quarters. The next owner needs only to move in to enjoy this lifestyle.”

“The American West resonates globally and it is never too late for anyone to enjoy ranch ownership,” said Jim Toth of PureWest Ranches, who is representing the Montana property. “Horsethief Basin was assembled with great care from some of Montana’s premium land parcels into one ranch. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Added Mr. Fleischer: “Both ranches always created a clear a mental space that makes the challenges of the day seem smaller and more manageable. This helped me run my businesses and be a more effective corporate executive. Nature and activity reduce stress. This opportunity isn’t just the chance of a lifetime, it’s the chance for a longer lifetime.”
