Lyles' passion for real estate is no surprise considering his upbringing. As son to the broker-in-charge and a downtown native, he knows Charleston homes first-hand. With each property he sees beyond the basic house; he sees a story, a development project, a piece of history, a family core, and countless other qualities and possibilities. Sharing his knowledge, and helping clients imagine a life in their new home, allows him to match each person he works with the best possible home. Lyles returned to William Means in July 2013 after three years in New York working as a fund manager with a prominent multifamily housing finance provider. Ironically enough, it was in New York that he reunited with one of his childhood friends from Charleston and quickly proposed marriage. Now full circle, he is back home and with the William Means firm, where he got his start in real estate seven years ago after graduating from Southern Methodist University. In his first years of real estate, Lyles was honored as the youngest real estate agent in Charleston to receive the 2009 Realtor of Distinction award.
