Runway Ready: 5 Chic Homes with Couture Closets

Inspired by Paris Fashion Week, Luxury Defined spotlights a collection of stylish homes with couture closets and designer dressing rooms for dedicated followers of fashion

Though many of the world’s great capitals are in the midst of winter’s chill, Paris in February is decidedly haute—even hot, at least, for Paris Fashion Week.

From Feb. 27–March 7, the well-dressed, well-heeled, and well-known will jet into the French capital for the hottest ticket in town: the Fall/Winter 2023–2024 Ready to Wear runway shows.

Of course, dedicated followers of high fashion take their style notes from the collections of the biggest names in fashion, from Chanel to Saint Laurent to Louis Vuitton. But when it comes to high-fashion living spaces, they can take their cues from this Luxury Defined collection of chic homes designed with haute couture in mind.

This Parisian mansion has a fashionable location in the prestigious XVI arrondissement, near the Jardins du Trocadéro and the Arc de Triomphe.

Dublin’s “Amalfi Coast” is the setting for St Ann’s. This detached Victorian house of architectural and historic significance combines ornate period details with contemporary amenities, including a designer closet, indoor pool, gym, and wine cellar.

This fine circa-1860 house is set within 1.35 acres of glorious gardens overlooking Killiney Bay in County Dublin.

In his best-selling 2007 book, Between the Mountains to the Sea, Irish author and historian Peter Pearson described St Ann’s as “a large Victorian house with terrace gardens, with unusual features of rounded corners, and a small gable in the center of the façade.” The property was immortalized in the painting St Anne’s, with Barrington’s Tower by George Du Noyer.

St Ann’s was brought into the 21st century by the present owners. Among the updates is a most impressive bespoke dressing room in the principal suite (one of five bedrooms in the main house).

The home is further enhanced with a modern kitchen extension, indoor pool, gym, wine cellar, media room, games room, guest and staff quarters, and a sun terrace with an uninterrupted vista of the sea.
