Christie’s International Real Estate Expands into Mexico City with New Affiliate Lux Bienes Raices

A top network broker in Mexico opens boutique firm, leveraging experiences as Texas City mayor and Peace Corps volunteer to serve global luxury enclave of Mexico City

Mexico City, Mexico - Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network, announces its most recent affiliation in Mexico City with LUX Bienes Raices, a new entity led by Joseph W. Lown and Eduardo Mora Yañez, Principal Broker. Lown distinguished himself as a top broker at CDR Bienes Raices, the exclusive Affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate in San Miguel de Allende, before embarking on this new venture.

The Lux brand represents exceptional real estate, premium customer service and discretion at all times,” says Lown.

Lown’s real estate expertise is further enhanced by his experiences as Mayor of San Angelo, Texas – having been elected to four consecutive two-year terms accruing 89 percent of the vote, while managing his family’s real estate investment company. He also worked for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia, promoting cross-cultural awareness and managing job training programs. Lown was awarded his college B.A. in the U.S. and his law degree in Mexico.

Joseph bring a breadth of real estate experience to this new company,” says Rick Moeser, Executive Director for Christie’s International Real Estate. “With firsthand knowledge of the brokerage and investment sides of the business, LUX Bienes Raices will offer its clients the level of service and expertise for which the Christie’s International Real Estate brand is renowned.”

The Lux brand represents exceptional real estate, premium customer service and discretion at all times.

Mexico City consistently ranks in the top 20 as a global city with high concentrations of wealth. At last count, 27 billionaires called Mexico City home, with another 145,000 multi-millionaires living there, as well. Christie’s maintains an office in the city, too, creating powerful opportunities for synergy between art and real estate. Admittance to the Christie’s International Real Estate network is by invitation only, extended exclusively to the world’s most accomplished luxury brokerages.
