EWM Realty International, The Exclusive Affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate In Miami-Dade, Proudly Launched Inaugural Viewing of ‘Gables Lights 2017’

Innovative architectural video art display is utilizing under-construction Giralda Place Condominium’s façade as its canvas; and features contemporary works by renowned Beverly Hills-based artist Lori Hyland

MIAMI BEACH, FL – EWM Realty International, one of the nation’s largest residential real estate firms and the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate for Miami-Dade County, marked the beginning of Miami Art Week with the launch of Coral Gables’ first architectural video art display: ‘Gables Lights 2017.’

The canvas for the unique exhibition is the soon-to-be-completed 33-unit Giralda Place, a luxury boutique condominium in the heart of the City Beautiful, scheduled for completion in the Spring 2018.

The vibrant eight-story high imagery and video projections, executed through an exciting new technique which transforms surfaces into dynamic displays, can be viewed nightly, December 4th through December 8th, from 6 pm – 10 pm.

The foundation of the exhibition is works of art by renowned Beverly Hills-based artist and frequent Art Miami exhibitor, Lori Hyland. Large-scale digital images of her abstract oil paintings will be projected onto the walls of Giralda Place, giving audiences a jaw-dropping, never-before-seen perspective of her works.

“We view this as a first step toward bringing an installation to Coral Gables that’s akin to the ‘Aurora Lights’ show in Dallas, where this art-infused technology has transformed that downtown area into a visual extravaganza,” said Ron Shuffield, President of EWM Realty International. “We are confident this initial foray will rapidly expand next year, making Coral Gables an even more compelling forum for Miami Art Week in Miami-Dade.”

“Coral Gables, always recognized for its galleries and art venues, is now embracing additional public art venues, such as its Cruz-Diez collaboration at City Hall, commemorating Miami Art Week and Art Basel,” added Shuffield. “This new technology of digitizing images -- and literally using buildings as the canvas -- is the next stage of evolution in the media arts, and we look forward to furthering the growth of these types of innovative installations.”
