Commuters traveling to New York City by car have easy access to Route 17, which runs north to south through the western part of town. Route 17 merges with I-80, with exit 68A taking travelers to I-95 South and then toward the Lincoln Tunnel via NJ 495 East. The trip takes around an hour, based on traffic. Another route is via Route 17 to Route 4 and then I-95 North over the George Washington Bridge (also around an hour’s drive).
