I am feeling great in Montana! Moving to Whitefish, Montana in 1977 from Seattle, Washington, at the age of 10, was a scary adventure. With the love of mountains and the snow and growing up hiking and camping in the Mt. Baker area, it didn't take me long to call Whitefish home. I started skiing right away. Skiing is now a necessity in my life. So is visiting Glacier National Park in the summer and winter, enjoying all it has to offer.
I've had many jobs, both in the U.S. and Slovakia. Before I moved to Slovakia in 2005, I acquired my tesol/tefl and taught English in Bratislava. Before moving to Slovakia, I did a 10-year stint commercial fishing, from 1990-2000, in the Pribilof Islands, 285 miles NE of Unalaska. While commercial fishing, I only worked the crab season which is in winter. It was the longest I'd ever been off skis!
When crab season ended, I spent it working for the concessions in Glacier National Park over the summers. I did 8 seasons and worked at Lake Mcdonald Lodge as a waiter for 3 seasons, Many Glacier Hotel as a waiter and houseman for 2 seasons, and for 2 years at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, working in the kitchen and camp store.
Working in Glacier was one of the best experiences of my life! That is where my love of people was born. I decided to dedicate my life to the service industry in the year 2000 and made the transition from seasonal, to full-time in the service industry. It's been a pleasure to serve and meet everyone I have.
Now that I've made the transition to being a Realtor, I hope to help those that wish to experience, in their own form, what I've experienced living in Montana for nearly 46 years now.
In my free time, I love to ski, play soccer, fish, hunt, mountain bike, and play guitar. I also teach soccer here in the valley for the Whitefish Rapids 8-10 and also teach skills to those with little to no soccer experience. I love volunteering for my community and am well-grounded in it. I hope to spend the rest of my life right here. My biggest passion, though, is spending time with my 13-year-old son and 2-year-old rot/lab/collie mix. Odin. There is nothing better than those two. Nope, not even skiing! Nothing comes close.
