About Casagrande, one of Italy's most charming estates
Welcome into one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, located a mere 60 minutes away from Venice, set in a landscape with the most spectacular Palladian renaissance villas in a Sixteenth century palace blessed with a Game of Thrones type narrative but fitted with state of the art amenities. The Casagrande is the main residence of the Conti Brandolini d'Adda and has been part of their feud since the Fifteenth century when their warrior ancestors were made responsible for the defense of Venice's land borders. The Palazzo features beautifully frescoed bedrooms and a newly restored Rococo salotto can transport you to a moment in the 18th century when polite conversation lit by candlelight took place. The imposing entrance hall displays the swords and banners that belonged to the family for hundreds of years. The entire property has been upgraded with state-of-the-art amenities and decorated with modern Italian designed furniture. It has a capacity of 10 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and 2 extra at ground floor level. The rooms sleep 20 and overflow capacity is available. A stay in the Casagrande includes service by a bilingual chef, butler, and his wife, who attend to all our guests' needs. Naturally, the entire property has Wi-Fi coverage. On offer are two designer kitchens, one of which can easily host the preparation of a truly regal banquet. Four sitting rooms have functioning fireplaces, and a vast restored portico for \\\\\"all fresco\\\\\" dining provide the space to sit down and relax. Both in and outside dining is on offer and the garden features an 18 meter by 8 meters long swimming pool with a pool house, a vegetable garden, and secular trees. The Palazzo is the center of the main square of Cison di Valmarino — this totally preserved village looks like a set from a Mozart opera. In fact, the movie Moglieamante (Wifemisstress) starring Marcello Mastroianni and Laura Antonelli was filmed on site in 1977. In 2019, Cison in turn became the center of a Unesco world heritage site. Its rolling hills have found international recognition among those who are in the know about the very best of what the Veneto has to offer. The Casagrande is located a mere 60 minutes away from Venice and set in a landscape with the most spectacular Palladian renaissance buildings. It is also ideally placed for those who adore biking and we have found that many of the guests love taking off in the morning to explore the valleys around Cison and engage with the steeper climbs nearby. Those who enjoy hiking, horse riding, a game of golf, tennis, hunting and fishing will also be able to play to their hearts content. Sightseeing is a must in that the nearest village Follina is the site of one of the most beautiful Romanesque cloisters in Italy. Vittorio Veneto's cathedral is decked out with an exquisite Titian alter piece. The Palladian villa of Maser is very close. Here you will find architecture by this mythical renaissance architect and unique frescoed walls by the famous painter Veronese. The Casagrande is in the heartland of prosecco grape production. Within a ten-minute drive wine tasting enthusiasts will be able to visit the best prosecco producers in the world and tasting sessions can be organized. The story about the area a love for the Venetian cuisine and of course the most beautiful mountains in the world - the Dolomites. The valleys surrounding Rolle di Cison di Valmarino and the San Uboldo pass — are becoming the fastest growing foody destinations in Italy. Along the country roads winding around Rolle's hills are dotted some of the best restaurants of the Veneto. The interiors have recently been completely restored to a very high standard, offering the experience of a Renaissance home furnished with both luxurious antiques belonging to the family for centuries and modern high quality design. The 2 acres garden features a 18-meter swimming pool and a secluded seating area under a monumental chestnut tree. In year 2015 the Sunday Times Travel section called the Best of Italy has included Casagrande in Italy's 20 hottest hotels and villas, ranking it at n. 12. This marvelous property can be rented for a minimum period of one week. Cleaning service for a maximum of 8 hours a day for 6 days a week is included. Prices from € 10.700 per week.
