Morgan Motor Company: 100 Years on the Road

To celebrate 100 years of hand-building its iconic cars, British marque Morgan has released the Plus 8 Speedster to a new generation of motoring fans

The nippy two-seater combines the stripped-back, retro look of the road-going race cars of yesteryear with the best of modern driving – it’s capable of 0-62mph in an impressive 4.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 148mph. The Speedster – available in 12 colors – features xenon headlights with washers, ambient interior lighting, and cruise control as standard, plus all the customization options you could wish for. As if all that weren’t reason enough to invest in one, just 60 will be built, making the Plus 8 Speedster a must for collectors.

The last remaining independent and family-owned British motor manufacturer, the Morgan Motor Company Ltd. was established in 1909 by H.F.S. Morgan with the design of the Morgan three-wheeler. A four-wheeled model began production in 1936, and Morgan cars have long become famous the world over for their unique blend of charisma, quality materials, craftsmanship and performance.
